Recently, I have been led by Spirit to consider the word – Resilient. Webster defines it as the capability of a strained body to recover its size and shape after deformation caused especially by compressive stress and an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change. Although either definition has huge connotations for my life in recovery I was further led to the Latin root: re – again plus salire – to leap. To Leap Again… could be a title of a book. What it means though is that I CAN do it, whatever IT is.
This time I leap in Faith that my body, both physical and spiritual, will not be deformed by compressive stress. Being resilient means that I am ready to face my life and the opportunities that life has for me. Just the very thought of me being resilient is making me want to “leap again.” No fear, no hesitation, no remorse for past mistakes…leaping is an action and is forward and upward. I LOVE it. Too often we get bogged down in the areas that we have “failed” or judge ourselves harshly for the way something happened in the past, without the ability to change it. Reflection of the day past is important to know how you want to Leap Forward. Are you ready with me to be RESILIENT! Are you ready to “adjust EASILY to change?” I am ready!
Today, I recognize that Universal Spirit is like a big net or trampoline that always has me protected. I realize that I can always Leap Again and be in Faith that though my reflection on my Foundational values like; Integrity, Gratitude, Trust and Love I will make the right decisions moving forward. I am so thankful that words like Resilient define who I AM and I AM Resilient ready to Leap into the life of my Dreams.
